I am a seasonal camper there and have been for a long time... It sure has come along way since we started!! It is Very clean,,, staff is Super Nice,, and activities for adults and children. Just burns me when people complain about loud people..... Answer to that.... TELL THE STAFF OR HAVE THEM MOVE YOU!!!!! It is a big place and I Know there is quiet areas!!!! They do a nice job and you can't make EVERYONE happy,, But I am!!!

I love this place. I was there 2 yrs ago and they were friendly and respected their campers. However this time we went, they put us in the back with all the young party people. I dont mind the parties and the loudness, but when you have kids that are trying to sleep it just doesnt mix. 5:30 in the morning these people were up till everynight, ...

Wow, I spent the past two nights at Lake James Family Resort and I had a terrific time! The staff is friendly and helpful, the grounds are clean and everyone camping is having a great time. We stayed in the cabins, they were beautiful, clean and reasonable priced. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a great time LAKE JAMES FAMILY RESORT!

Everyone there is very friendly. My husband and I are probably some of the loud people on golf carts. The pool is clean. There is lots for kids to do. I take my grandson. The area has plenty of activities. Pokagon State park has swimming, picnicing, and a Nature Preserve. There are 4 nice restaurants very close. Angola is only a few miles away ...

I've been to boring state parks and wild private campgrounds that I will never return to. Lake James Family Resort is somewhere in the middle. Can it be a little loud...Yes. Can it go a little too late...yes. Is it out of control...NO. It is normal people that want to sit around their campfires (most with their kids) and have a good time.

If you want to roast marshmellows and sing kumbaya...they have areas for that too.

We have been there several times in the past two years. Last year the bathroom were a little bit cleaner. There was a lady that cleaned the bathroom everyday. I heard that she is no longer there. So I guess whoever is suppose to be doing it is not. But THIS IS A WONDERFUL PLACE TO CAMP!!! I have been to several camp grounds, there's always one group of campers that is loud. My Family can still sleep with no problems.

My family and I are seasonal campers at this campground. (possibly the drunks they talk about) To my knowledge everyone that I have ever met has been very friendly. I never have to worry about my children going to the park or the arcade. They are people that are from all walks of life that enjoy the same type of summer fun. If someone thought it is too loud maybe they should ask those people to keep it down. (I bet they would if asked.!)

Just got back, and can't wait to go back again. This is a nice campground (very clean, very freindly). And yes, there are a few people who were there to have a good time, but it NEVER got excessively loud and it was all quiet fairly early. I have small children and they loved it. My family will definitley be back.
P.S. bring your boat theres a great lake right across the street.(Lake James)
