It is incredibly rejeuvinating to escape the Chicago urban hustle and bustle in nature at Kishauwau. Away from the city lights, you can see the stars at night, nad relax by the woodstove fire, secure in the knowledge that heat is available as neede from the in-cabin furnace system. The roomy kitchens ensure that cooking (and cocooning) is easy. This place is a real jem.

A Must Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/05/09
I have been on five of the seven continents and this is the place I have returned to most often. A beautiful place to kick back, read a book or commune with nature. You have to experience Kishauwau to understand why so many people keep coming back. Bring your clothes and some food so you don't have to leave, everything else is provided. There ...
There is nothing to dislike and everything to love about Kishauwau. There are no words to discribe it. Kishauwau can only be experienced. In the past I used to recommend it now I take people with me to experience Kisauwau. I even go as far as to give gift certificates to my family so they may enjoy Kisauwau when time permits. This piece of heaven ...
We had a great time! The cabins are super clean, amazingly stocked, and very comfortable. With newer linens, plenty of dishes, flat-screen TV’s, DVD & VCR, and huge whirlpool tubs - this place is well worth the very reasonable rates. Just make sure you make a stop at a grocery store before you arrive and stock up, so that you won't ...

Awesome Place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/08
This was awesome place to go to and get away from it all. Everything we needed was right there, the cabin was very cozy and clean. It was a cold weekend, all the more reason to get the wood stove going and settle in front of it. The movie selection was HUGE! Ellen the owner was an excellent hostess along with her dog, who's name eludes me at ...

This was my first trip down there and I can say it WON'T be my last. I just can't wait to go back. I am sending out pictures to all of my family and friends and trying to ...

Nestled on 80 wooded acres on the Vermillion River, this former Boy Scout Camp is a camp for grownups.
