I liked the staff, because we arrived there early in the morning of our check-in day and we realized that checkin time was 2.00pm so we requested the front desk people to give us a room at 4.00am in the morning and even though the hotel was full that night he got a room cleaned immediately as other people left early and gave us a room at that ...
When we (a mom with three young adult children) were driving there we wondered what we were getting ourselves into (trying to save money on a NYC trip), but when we pulled into the area of Queens Blvd. everything opened up and it was a really cool area. As has been mentioned before, good location for access to Manhattan. Fair price, very clean by any standards and very new! Breakfast a bit spartan, but sufficient. Good for families.
Excellent restaurants within a few blocks.

Liked the close proximity to the subway, the clean fresh look and smell of the hotel. The staff was extremely helpful. On our last day, they allow us to keep our bags at a "holding" location after we checked out, which allowed us to see more of NYC before our plane departed late afternoon.
The hotel was exactly as promised! It was close access to subway..2 blocks...clean rooms that look like the pic, all amenities as promised, clean, large tvs, good beds, etc. Staff was friendly and helpful. Save area and a great restaurant in next block...Casa Romana...that was one of the best I've been to in a long time. We will return. No negatives! I was really pleased!

We expected it to be busy on New Years Eve, but La Quinta did not seem to be prepared. I had asked for a roll away bed when I made my reservations, but there were none when we arrived. Their excuse was that the hotel was full due to the holiday. They were not able to provide extra pillows and only one extra blanket also because of the holiday. I ...

Large rooms loads of hotel freebies...just dont accept a basement level room kind of noisy as of 5am when staff is preping the Breakfast and cleaning carts. 2 buses across the street go to the city the train is also a block away any nycwatertaxi.com avail during certain times.
