  • No AC, but cute
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/09
If you want a place to crash, and with a kitchenette, it's nice.
If it's in the middle of July, and in the 90's, and you don't mind waiting until 3am for the room to cool down to the 70's, then it's for you.

Any other time of the year would be better than July, because there is no A/C.

If you want to save a few bucks, it's for you.

  • You are only sleeping there
    By Andrea, 02/04/09
This place was excellent as far as conveinece goes. The romm rates are cheap and it made me feel like the owners aren't just interested in making a buck. Yes, the rooms are outdated but who cares!!! You are coming back to sleep after a drunken night of gambling! If you want an updated, smoke free, over the top decorated suite with ...

  • A Great memory to renew each year.
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/22/08
I like the coozyness for a couple and the closness to the Gambling. Plus the central location to visit other areas around the Lake. NV and CA sides.
Your date don't go back far enough. June of 1986 I believe was the last time.

  • Great place!!
    By Lowe, 07/24/08
We stayed at Doc's Cottages in July and loved it. It's true there is no coffee but there is a coffee pot. The rooms are updated with tile flooring, beds are old. The curtains and bedspread are also a little outdated, but we still loved it! very quiant and we will be staying there everytime we are in Tahoe. We paid 75.00 on a Saturday night!! Beau is awesome and very accomodating!! See you in November Beau!!!!

  • A lot of $$ for no amenitites
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/06/08
Always wanted to try this place since it backs to Harveys and looked cute. Per night fee was over $115, no shampoo or conditioner, no hair dryer. Decorated in thrift store fashion, with clashing carpet and bedspread. Kitchenette had cups only with coffee pot and NO coffee. Patio has chairs and no table. Tv remote was dead. 1950s, 1960s ...

  • From one Generation to the Next
    By gregory s, 01/10/08
My Mom and Dad stayed here when they eloped over 40 years ago. My husband and I stayed here when we got married last year and it is so nice. We were staying at a horrible hotel that on the internet was supposed to be nice, and Beau rescued us by giving us a new clean place to stay that had a reading window, and full kitchen including a coffee ...

  • This is my favorite place to stay!!!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/07
Doc's cottages is two blocks away from the beach and 20 steps away from the Casino's. My family enjoys going there because it is in the heart of town. Beau, the manager is very accommodating and keeps the cabins very clean. You can choose from 1 bedroom or 2 and all of the cabins have a kitchen.

Thanks Beau! See you during ski season!!

Doc's Cottages is a great place to stay in South Lake Tahoe. It is clean, comfortable and an easy walk to Stateline casinos (3 minutes) or the beach (5 minutes). "Beau" who has run this place practically since the beginning of time, is very friendly and easy going. My girlfriends and I have been taking our annual trip to Tahoe here ...

    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/10/06
Every time we go to Tahoe we stay at Doc's it's the best place to stay in S Lake Tahoe. They have a little kitchen, they are always kept clean, and I never have a complaint when I stay there.
