Online this place looks like spa/resort, but nothing is further from the truth. My partner and I booked a 2.5 hour couples treatment, with a 1 hour massage/ 1 hour mudbath, plus 1/2 hour facial, expecting the ultimate pampering treat. Here's what we got.

Much to be desired. When you pay for a day spa treatment you shouldn't dread the idea of having to leave.
Lesson learned, I felt uncomfortable the moment I arrived the MOTEL which lacked professional staff - not what you'd expect in that area.

They looked like they hadn't changed in days or they were inappropriately dressed for a professional day spa. It felt like a sheep herding. No lockers for your clothes, No slippers for your feet. The massages for two people were the worst I ever experienced. My masseuse did not use a neck rest and my neck was killing me after the massage. Totally unexperienced for a fee of $300.00 for a package including tips. I would NEVER return. The place looked and felt dirty.

Take one big helping of Mud, add mineral water, heat until just right, recline in the mud bath until well done, then jump into the mineral jacuzzi to get the mud off and then to a blanket wrap followed by a massage. My husband and I didn't stay there.We just went for mud bath, of which we had heard a lot!Couple of women there were not very pleasant.They seemed racist.But the person we got was very nice!Mud bath in itself was lot of fun and a good way for a couple to spend some nice quiet time!It was an experience in itself!We liked the mud bath and will go back again!

My wife and I stayed at the Golden Haven resort with the Couples Spa packages. We had a Mud & Mineral bath, Hour Message and Herbal Wrap. The was an in room Sauna. Location was just a couple of minutes away from Center of Calistoga. Your in the heart of Napa Valley and a half hour drive to all the great wineries.
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

This wonderful spa has the best staff. The spa treatments are just the best way to relax and be pampered. The best part about the treatments where that you can enjoy them with your loved one.
