The negative reviews are ALL done by one mean person who ignored the website information that clearly states "rustic" and expected the "Hilton"! This is a very rude and vindictive person.

Nice view, but that's about it. Filthy, dirty, spiders, cobwebs, mice. Fridge was at least 50 years old and sounded like a freight train. Blankets and mattresses were stained (rollaway looked like several people had died on it). Spent the first night cleaning! The dock was held together with coat hangers and duct tape and is a safety hazard. Not worth the price at all. This place is totally falling apart.

The cabins were so dirty I will never go there again. The entire experience was awful. I could not even shower because the shower was so filthy. Plastic on the mattresses old bottle of vodka found under the bed. No light in the fridge, lights burned out. Disgusting BBQ out back with garbage on the ground. Wanted to cry the minute I saw the place. ...

The lake view cabin they showed on their web site had no lake view and was not even the same cabin! Dusty dirt road goes right past the door of the cabin. No place to sit outside and the only furniture on the deck was 2 old metal kitchen chairs.

I love this place. My family has been going there for years. A very pretty and peaceful place with lots of history! Close to snowboarding and lake. Fun in winter, spring, summer and fall.
