I went to the Eldorado expecting to have a fun night. I drove over 2 hours to get there late on Friday night for a one nights stay only wanting to play blackjack. I noticed very quickly upon starting play that the dealers have a serious issue with their sense of humor, and personalities. Even the pittboss was a bit too blunt and bossy. They ...

THE BEST OF THE BEST
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/13/07
I love this casino because I don't smoke but I am still able to breath. I do wish for a no-smoking room.(think about it) I play mostly table games,at least 4 times a week. It is a pleasure to see Cathy, Mitzi,Tim and the gang. They are always full of fun but very professional. The other people seem to enjoy them also. They tell you in such a ...

Unconcerned Front Desk Employee
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/14/07
The key to a friends room did not work. She asked me to go to the front desk for assistance since she is handicapped. (The time is approximately 9:30 p.m.) I did. The desk clerk (Dorothy) told me there was nothing she could or would do since I was not the registered guest for that room. Okay... I agreed. Could Dorothy have someone go to the ...

Fun Was Had By All

My husband and I have been going to El Dorado for many years since it was Hollywood. We have stayed at most all the casino's in the area. We just keep going back to El Dorado. El Dorado is our favorite for all the right reasons. We feel that El Dorado is the closest thing in our area to Vegas, which we love also. ...

There are better places to stay
By ntmeangreen2003, 06/11/06
The overall experience of my stay at the Hollywood was very poor, mostly due to the rudeness and uncaring attitude of the staff. It's my belief that if you are going to spend approximately $200.00 a night, you should be treated like they want you to stay with them again, not like we have your money so we don't care any more. When I talk ...

The good -- The bad -- TheSo So
By cnctooltek@sbcglobal.net, 05/31/06
This Shreveport hotel Casino Now has a new name, The El Dorado. We decided to spend our Memorial day Holiday away from the DFW area and get in a little gambling action. First impression is the place is pretty clean and efficently run. Our Quoted rate was $64. The room was pretty nice, big king size bed, oversize bathroom. Really pretty nice. The ...

great start against tough competition
By Jean H, 03/14/06
The facilities are comparable to a good Vegas casino. The rooms are well maintained and the reservation and check-in process was very good (Monday thru Wednesday stay) The valet service was outstanding, which is very unusual for the area.
The slot gaming is well diversified and the equipment is all operational and much of it appears to be new. ...
