Wonderful location and scenery is great. Kids love it. BUT the cabins are unkept and filthy. You don't want to touch anything or use any utensil there. Bring your own and a broom and mop.

The view here is beautiful, no doubt. But, at some time you need to enter the filthy (mouse droppings, bugs, years of accumulated dirt) cabins. The one we had had broken floor boards, holes in sheetrock, mold in bathroom, ants and was just plain filthy. If this were in the city, DHS would have you arrested if you had kids living here. This will be our 29th year to go to Rio Bonito. It has become a family tradition and last year we added the third generation with our new grandbaby! If you are looking for the Hilton, go somewhere else, because this is not it. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere with friendly people, then please come. Get your favorite lawn chair, a good book and turn off the cell phone!

Rio Bonito is the perfect little private "river lodging" location. We have been going there for over 7 years and last year was the first year to miss since we chose to go to Puerto Rico. No, this is not a 5 star hotel, but a 5 star luxury of family time and relaxation. We will continue to go there as often as possible. The town is just a walk away and you are right on the river.

The location is beautiful, but the condirtion of the cabin was horrible. FILTHY! We had bugs in our bed, layers of dust, cobwebs, types of food we did not bring on the floor(Cherios), dirty dishes when we arrived, dusty-dirty couch, it was an allergy nightmare! We were only there for three days and had to spend one day cleaning ans shopping for ...

Been visiting Rio Bonito for the past 10 years. I've taken my friends and staff there for retreats. Always rent out multiple cabins for comfort. It has always been a great experience! Location on the Blanco River is beautiful! It is rustic but always clean. It is a great place for all occasions! BBQ pits and ready camp fire sites are a plus, plus, plus!

I loved Rio Bonito. I went and stayed there for 5 years in a row and it was amazing. Right on the river. Now the recreation area isn't the best but when you have the town not far away and the river right there what else do you need?

Very quiet but close to downtown Wimberly for shopping and food. Each cabin has a nice fireplace. The views of the Blanco River are great. Try it out!

The river is greate and its alot of fun but the cabins could use new AC unites so bring a small fan if its going to be hot when you are there....
