We made online reservations for a three day stay and arrived as scheduled. The doors were locked, some phone numbers were disconnected, and no one answered emails, messages, or notes we slipped under the door. We had do find another place to stay at 9:00 PM. Finally, the next day, we were told that the European Village Resort had been shut down ...
Booked 11 rooms for a wedding party. Man at desk at check-in said he didn't work there. Dirty sheets and towels, phones removed from all rooms by phone company, toilet plugged up, rugs stained, no lights in foyer, some rooms gave heat rather than air, no one at desk for check out. Total disaster. Beware!

The European Village shops and stores are great, and they come highly recommended--but DO NOT try and stay at the hotel there, which is in complete meltdown as of August 2008. I live in Palm Coast, and twice in the last two weeks have had friends/family visit and try and stay at the European Village. In both cases, check-in was completely ...

We totally enjoyed our stay! Our room was very clean and the beds were super comfortable... everything you need is right there, shops, resturants, clubs, music and the waterway is just across the street. We even saw some small sharks? (big fish) the water was so clear (intercoastal)Only complaint is the front desk staff was a little unknowing ...

Not as advertised. Very Deceptive.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/16/07
When we first pulled up we thought the place had closed. The tennis courts were really overgrown, in disrepair and the parking lot looked like it had been abandoned for some time and there was trash all over. The room was ok, but very cheap. You could hear the guests next door as if they were in the same room. What was really bad was the fact ...

Like Traveling Abroad...

We totally enjoyed our stay at the European Village Hotel, it was like visiting a quaint little village in Europe, without the extensive travel and the language barriers! The stores were very nice, and the resturants we found to be all very tasty as well as a wide variety. We were able to play tennis and work out in their new sports center - the ...
