I've been going to Surf Court for 11 years and they have really gone down hill. There were fleas, mice and roaches in my room. There were cigarette burns on the blankets and NO SHEETS on the bed! The gas was turned off so the room wouldn't smell. The shower did not work and to top if off the pier is not longer open. We were told to use ...

ALLEN AND BETSY ARE BACK AND THE PLACE IS GREAT! I WENT FOR A DAY AND STAYED 2 MONTHS LAST WINTER! I HOPE TO GET BACK AGAIN THIS WINTER! BEST LITTLE PLACE IN ALL OF TEXAS!

We were there in 8/07 and it was falling apart. Then we found out the previous owners were back so we though we would give it another try since it is so affordable.We went back at the end of June 08. The owners are wonderful, gracious people who are really putting forth a great effort to fix the place up again. If you were disappointed in the past, give it another try. I think you might be pleased.

My fiance and I just returned form a mini vacation in Rockport and stayed at the Surf Court. We loved it. We had a cabana right over the water, with a patio that looked right out over the water. I just left the Surf Court, and it is under new management! Allen Ray and Betsy Moers are back (the couple that ran the motel for 25+ years). They have been working very hard to get everything back up to par - even have wireless internet for free in their porch area now! Thought you all would want to know.

We stayed in one of the cabana rooms that is right over the water. The folks that run the place are very friendly and made the stay very nice. We had a wonderful time! We were able to walk to the downtown area for some shopping, it is only a block away. We are planning to return in the summer so we can swim at the beach. I think we will stay here often, we felt comfortable and enjoyed the family atmosphere.

I was very disappointed, we have been coming here every other year for the last 10 years. They would not put blankets on the beds (even when asked for one) because the electic bill was $4000.00 and we should just not run the A/C, the remote didn't work, so we should just get up and go to the TV to change the chanel. Rented a cabana room. The beds felt like a cot and sagged, the room smelled of wet dog and cigarettes, and there were fleas!
