The number 1 Italian restaurant in the Newark area for over 30 years. The pasta is served firm (as it should be) the veal is served fork tender (as it should be) and the sauces are rich and flavorful (as they should be.

Food was great and atmosphere was very nice. I'd feel out of place in jeans, but casual is fine.
Unfortunately the service was awful. We had a new waitress who just could not keep up with all the tables they gave her. Some of the other waiters tried to help out but in a fine restaurant like this, there is no excuse for poor service. We talked to the manager but only got excuses. They really need to train their new help.

I have eaten a several course dinner at this restaurant and the food is first class. I would not feel confortable wearing jeans in this restaurant. Each table has a white drape and is somewhat more formal type restaurant. Only for special occasions. Seems to have a large selection of wines.

I REALLY enjoy this place - GREAT food, great waitstaff and a very good wine selection. Yes, pricey for an Italian place but well worth it.
