Just to add to the first comment--our church has a new sanctuary (March, 2006). Everyone visting our church really loves it. It is done in a historic church tradition (high celing, rose window, oak wainscoating,etc), but the seating partly wraps around the altar area to create a sense of togetherness. Guests tell us our people are very friendly,so I think the overall feeling is warm and worshipful.
