The birthplace of Joseph Smith, founder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The visitor's center had a lot of interesting stuff about New England history in the early 1800's. Just a good feeling to walk around this place. Peaceful. Free.
My family was here on vacation and could not find our traditional church. We saw a building that appeared to be a church so we entered. Those mormons were so nice. They showed us around and heloed us feel at home. They had a place for our kids to play while we were in sunday school. It really was just a great day.
