  • Too hairy for me
    By Tamara, 02/02/09
I hated it. Ordered a turkey reuben and had a long black hair mixed with the saurkraut and russian IN my sandwich. GROSS. We're headed back to Burlington and my husband really wants to go back.....I don't know if I can bring myself to eat anything else there.

  • Worth checking out
    By andrea, 11/06/08
The restaurant is fun and has a great atmosphere. The service is not great (we had to wait quite a while for our drinks!), but it is definitely worth going to.
The gravy and cheese fries are excellent, the pulled pork is good, and the sirlion isn't worth the price.

I live in Salt lake City, Ut. To buy a beer in an establishment a memership is needed which costs a few bucks plus price of beer. Memberships are not required in a restaurant setting. So, while in Vermont and visiting the Vermont Pub and Brewery I thoroughly enjoyed the freedom of buying a "real beer" (above 3.2) without having to buy a gosh durn membership!
The food was good and the atmosphere was great!

Good to try 6 beer sampler. Service was a little slow. Didn't really enjoy what I ordered but was thinking they would have bar food rather than pub food.

  • What's expected at a pub

I love going here for a drink and appetizers when I get out of work late at night. Beer is exceptional, food and service are average. The outdoor deck is ideal in the summer months.

  • Nice place for casual dining/drinking

Good food for the money, nothing fancy. Can be loud when it is busy, but some like that. Try the fish and chips and Shepard's Pie.

  • Nice place but the food wasn't the best.
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/08/06
The beer at the brewery is very good and the atmosphere, especially on a warm summer day is fantastic (outdoor seating on a patio). The food is subpar however and for the prices, there is much better fare within walking distance. My fish and chips were way overcooked (the fish was almost blackened) and even the waitress was horrid and apologized when she brought it to me.

My opinion: Go for the beer, find supper elsewhere.

  • excellent casual fare

Nice place for a relaxing, outside lunch. Good food, great beer, and fun atmosphere. Last I was there, they would have outside musicians on the weekends where you could hang out with friends in a low-key setting.
