We took a honeymoon vacation to the Bahamas and found the Poop Deck in one of the local dining guides. The guide described a special beach side dining experience which I made reservations for.
When we arrived at the restaurant we were pleasantly surprised of the appearance of the dining room, and were promptly escorted out the the beach where ...

too much for our hog snapper
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/02/08
We really liked going to the poop deck, however, our waitress Janet said that the hog snapper was $48.00 and it was big. So two of us decided to split the fish and there was a $48.00 CHARGE for both of us. We didn't notice that night and went back the next day and asked about the bill and we were told that the hog snapper was an $85.00 fish. We were a little disappointed in the cost of the fish, our meal for three people was very expensive.

Great Ambiance & Dining Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/19/07
We loved the feeling we got right off the back walking into the restaurant. It has a nice lively feel to it, both in the separate bar area and the dining floor.
The bartender definitely knew his trade and whipped us up some great local cocktails & tropical drinks. The dining was excellent. Salmon, grouper, lobster tails & lamb dishes ...

Excellent choice
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/02/07
The Poop Deck was recommended to us by our taxi driver. We went on a Wednesday night, had no wait and were seated immediately. Beautiful restaurant. We were dressed more casually than most of the diners, but no one seemed to care.
Service was excellent. Waiter was very attentive. Several of us enjoyed the Fisherman's Platter and lobster ...

VERY BAD SERVICE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/05/07

At 10 PM, he came to us to inform that the kitchen was closed and that we could not ...

One of my favorite restaurants in Nassau
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/03/06
Whenever I visist Nassau, I get my filling of Poop Deck. Amazing food and a great location right off the beach. The bar with the TV monitors are also great during Monday Night Football.

Can't Wait To Go Back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/02/06
We visited Nassau for a week and ate at the Poop Deck SandyPort a few times as the scenery overlooking the beach was beautiful and the food and service was consistently great. Their hog snapper dish was delicious. I had it twice. The lobster was cooked just right and may even be better than Maine lobster which I have always loved. The friendly ...

Dinner on the beach
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/14/06
We had heard about the Poop Deck from all of the natives we met, that was a great sign for us, when we arrived we were asked if we wanted to dine inside, outside on the patio or on the beach we went for the beach.
What a amasing place, my whife had a huge fresh lobster, I had the other catch of the day a hog snapper, they both the best we ever ...

Delicious & Romantic Vacation Dinner
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/12/06
Poop Deck West was recommended to us and we are so happy that we went. Too bad it was our last night in Nassau as we would have definitely gone more often. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was inviting and the service was prompt and friendly. They also have a great bar area next to the dining room with flat screen TVs. We had a few drinks at ...

Right On The Beach!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/28/06
We ate lunch and dinner at the Poop Deck when we visited Nassau, and absolutely loved it. There is another Poop Deck we heard but that one is by the Paradise Island Bridge. This Poop Deck is on the way to and from the airport on Cable Beach. The food was great. We ate outdoors both times and after lunch strolled along the beach just out front. You ...
