Greg of Greg's Safari's will guide you thru the rainforest and to the rim of this dormant volcano. The view is wonderous. You can see a pond at the bottom of the caldera and huge cliffs covered in rainforest. Greg is a great guide and nice guy. Tough hike but the centerpiece of your visit to St. Kitts.
A tour guide is a must for the first-time tourist. The climb is not technical, but you'll need to be in fairly good shape. It takes about three hours to get to the top and the slopes can get steep at times. Bring your camera and lots of film. Pictures from inside the crate are awesome, as is the view of the ocean and nearby islands. The peak is about 3,000 feet above sea level.
