So we waited patiently for the time since we had not been there since 2001 and were looking forward to going.Got delayed on bridge, called to see if reservation would still be available, person did not return call, was attempting to call us as we walked in the ...

  • The Decline of a Formerly Great Restaurant
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/29/08
Remember the delicious bread that was brought to your table, fresh and oven hot? And the three flavours of butter that came with it?

No more. Now they bring you microwave-warmed bread and slices of butter just like the diners - on a cardboard backing, with some wax paper on top. Shame!

Our main course did not resemble its description in the menu.

Heed this advice and STAY AWAY!

  • Internet reviews

A reviewer states, "The service staff that sizes up tip potential at each table and then delivers commensurate service." This restaurant may stink--I really don't know--but how can this person claim to know the wait staff "sizes up tip potential" if he/she only dined once? Futhermore, the reviewer's sentence I quoted is grammatically incorrect and the word, "Contributer" is spelled wrong on this site.

    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/01/07
Queenston Heights serves up low-quality food from chefs who pretend to know what they are preparing and plating. This was the most disappointing dining experience in 20 years. A well planned special outing was ruined by tough, old, unedible beef that did not even have the reduction that they printed on the menu. The service staff that sizes up tip ...

  • The main course portions were a colossal rip off.
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/27/07
Make sure you ask about the size of your order. What we thought would be a main course was the size of an appetizer, but the price of a main course. Disappointing.
