Must visit in PortlandMany parks together, the Zoo, Children's museum, rosegarden, Japanese garden. It's just a wonderful place. It's convieniet to visit so many places in just one area. Excellent zoo in WA ParkThe Oregon Zoo is located in Washington Park and is well worth the trip to see it, (on your way to the Japanese or Rose Gardens or the World Forestry Center). They have an excellent collection of flora and fauna native to Oregon as well as from around the world. SuperstitionAs a young child, memories of riding with my Grandfather, along with siblings and cousins, in our Volkswagon Bus from his SE home through the tunnels to Washington Park. It was a game to hold our breath through the tunnel, as my Grandpa honked the horn.
