  • one of my favorite spots and great place to get a picture of the city

    its one of the prettiest spots anywhere in the country it has a fabulous view of Mt Hood and the city along with an amazing collection of roses that is a very romantic setting for any occasion

  • Must visit in Portland

    Many parks together, the Zoo, Children's museum, rosegarden, Japanese garden. It's just a wonderful place. It's convieniet to visit so many places in just one area. The transportation is convenient too.

    Plenty of Rose Gardens, Open spaces, a few attractions such as The Zoo, a couple of art museums. The hairpin like pathways one discovers in between.

  • Excellent zoo in WA Park
    The Oregon Zoo is located in Washington Park and is well worth the trip to see it, (on your way to the Japanese or Rose Gardens or the World Forestry Center).     As a young child, memories of riding with my Grandfather, along with siblings and cousins, in our Volkswagon Bus from his SE home through the tunnels to Washington Park. It was a game to hold our breath through the tunnel, as my Grandpa honked the horn.

    Washington Park has it all. As you enter from downtown you find yourself immediately immersed into a lush forest, a far cry from the city bussle.
