We've stayed at the Ester Lee several times, and we've enjoyed every visit, but our latest stay was the best so far. We booked a corner room on the second floor (Room 212), and the ocean view was fantastic. With four large windows opening out to the sea we could see the rocky tidy pools just below us, foamy surf foretelling a coming storm, ...
We used to come here quite often, because we really liked it. Then the prices became higher -like at other places-, but now we have experienced for the 3rd time that people at the desk were rather snippy and close to being rude. "The friendly rudeness". We asked for a room that wouldn't have any street noise. They promissed us on the ...
I used to go and spend Thanksgiving at the Ester Lee with my grandparents starting about 1956, or maybe even earlier. We have visited many times too. Great memories and how weird it was going into the same unit (#229) after so many years. It hasn't changed a great deal. I love that the place hasn't been remodled so much and that the ...
This was our second stay at the Ester Lee. The people are the greatest, the rooms are clean and the view is spectacular. I do prefer the cottages to the hotel, but they are all great.
Love this place! Conveniently located, but not in the middle of town. Built high above the ocean for great views, but close enough to walk down to the beach. Everything in working order and clean. Our son said sleeping on the mattress on the pull-out couch was not that comfy, but all in all, it's a great location to enjoy the beautiful Oregon Coast!
Great ocean view, large room, comfortable, nice staff. The only thing we didn't like was a bit of musty smell, but that comes with the beach sometimes.
The views are stunning from the cottages and the motel. The rooms have not been updated for a while but that adds to the charm. The staff are friendly and courtesy. If you are looking for a place with fancy decor, than continue to drive down the coast. However, you will be missing the wonderful views and character from this gem of Lincoln City.
We stayed here for a family wedding at the (overpriced) hotel next door. My extended family rented 4 cottages and 2 rooms. Everyone's room was great, the rates were reasonable, and we had plenty of space in Cottage 114 to feed breakfast to 25 people! The staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and provide us with all the help we could possibly need. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Lincoln City!
My wife and I have been going there for years. The views are beautiful. We have stayed in the motel and the cottage side. Rooms with kitchens have everything you could need to make a home cooked meal to sit and look at views that no restaurant can offer.
We stayed in cottage #2. The room was cozy and clean. The view was terrific. Had a great time. The staff was friendly. My only complaint was the steep path to the beach.
