Yeah, it's an economy-minded hotel. But, all we needed was a quiet, clean place to sleep, shower, and change our clothes. That fulfilled it. Price was right and even more so since it was a few blocks from the el-train station.
Best memories of the trip from staying at this hotel: walking around Chinatown, bought some green beans from a ...
I can't believe there are bad reviews on this place. It's perfect! It's IN the city, but in a decent neighborhood; it's cheap, free wireless net, close to the El, clean, friendly staff...I really have no complaints. I guess it'd be cool if they had a continental breakfast, but really, for the price the deal is already hard to ...
This is a basic hotel. No frills. You get a nice clean bedroom with a nice clean bed and a nice clean spare bathroom. The decor is uninspiring. There is no view. BUT what I really appreciated was that the walls were quite thick. The rooms were quiet, and I slept soundly at night, which is all I really need. It felt private. The water was hot ...
Benefits: cheap and near the center of town (but still required taxi mostly) Staff generally friendly but communication limited by poor english generally Negatives: NO ELEVATOR, NO BAGGAGE SERVICE, NO HANDICAPED OR WHEELCHAIR SERVICES and despite extensive conversation with hotel clerk doing booking NO ONE INFORMED ME OF ANY OF THESE THINGS and ...
Wouldn't let sign in without signing a blank Charge agreement Stated basically they could charge whatever. Wants to charge card $1 to verify card refused to call 800NumberOnBack. Was paid in full travelocity. No elevator, rooms dirty, uncoooperative, Spent hours in waiting room. No Parking-pay excess $30 night. Save yourself and go to regular hotel pay a few dollars more-I did not stay there-left and went to Hilton for comp money.

I went with this place because I couldn't find anything reasonable on a weekend that I was scheduled to run a race. I, did not have any issues with the place, sure it was small, and in a different location than what we normally stay, but it was cheap and the hotel staff were just fine. My girlfriend, however, was not very happy with the ...
This is in the heart of Chinatown, and you will see far more Chinese than Caucasians everywhere, which makes it far more interesting. The many restaurants, Buddhist temples and shops are wonderful and inexpensive, and the people who stay are very interesting. There is a refrigerator, internet, table for dining, and the whole neighborhood is worth ...

Great location for the adventurous!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/19/07
I loved the place, although my wife, who is a little less adventurous would have preferred a step up. Our room was small, but clean, and we don't spend much time in the room except to sleep. Proximity to the redline is the greatest feature, along with the great price. If you are familiar with Chicago and plan on using public transportation, ...
