Bed Bugs, stained carpets, thin walls, and other unpleasantries...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/29/06
The sign on the awning actually said "You wanted Times Square for less" in other words, "you asked for it". The Hotel Carter is the filthiest, most disgusting place I've ever been. There were bugs in the bed!! The hotel staff would not refund money, but simply placed us in another room that was even dirtier, albeit bug ...
This is by far the dirtiest, untidiest and worst hotel I have ever stayed in. There is the most disgusting carpet over all of the walls. The reception area smells like a fast food takeaway. The shower is hot or cold with no in-between. The walls and carpets are filthy. There were a number of stains on the bed sheets. There was a constant cold ...

A Haven for Meth Heads
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/08/06
I believe Hotel Carter is a haven for meth heads, drug addicts & a host of unsavory characters. I would not endnager yourself or your family by bringing them to this awful place. We immediately checked out and demanded a refund because it was such an unsafe environment. Be wary of rooms on the top floors especially. It seems this is where ...

READ THIS - IT ISNT THAT BAD!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/07/06
Me and my husband have just returned (6th Nov 2006) from a 4 night stay, in what has to be describes as New York's ugliest hotel, as you walk into the foyer its actually quite amusing, the decor is hilarious with carpets on the walls and tube lights everywhere, I read a review comparing it to an asian brothel and it is very much what I imagine ...
Whatever you do - do not stay in this filthy hole. It is infested with cockroaches and the concierge staff do not respond to complaints. The place should be closed down.

the worst hotel in the world
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/20/06
super dirty with really bad service! this is a place for no one!!!! the lobby is dirty, the rooms are dirty and they don't clean. other people's hair in the bathroom, walls covered in filth... everything is old like never been cleaned or renovated YUCK!!!
This hotel should be shut down by the board of health. The room was totally dirty even though the beds were made. Then i walked into the bathroom out of the 1920's only to lift the toilet seat and find it full of feces. I received a hard time from the desk about receiving a run around. Luckily i paid with my american express card. My advice: ...

Should be closed for sanitery reason
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/29/06
When I saw my room I did not stay more than two minutes in this slum and left to an other place. Even a dog would no stay in this hotel. No words to describe the dirt. The worst and most horrible accomodation in NYC City. Should be closed for safety and sanitery reasons.
