My husband and I have stayed at Dellanera a couple of times and for the most part we thought it was ok. The fact that the beach is near by and the sea wall is in walking distance makes it perfect. However, I do not like the fact that the sites are so close together. Also, the parking is so tight at times that trying to get your vehicle through there can be a challenge.
Don't let the pictures advertised for this park fool you. The only picture I saw of the beach did not show the sea weed you have to carefully walk through to get to water that is not very clean and of course full of sea weed. While I understand Dellanera has no control over the seaweed, they should at least be honest about the piles & ...

If possible stay at the State Park

We are "happy campers" and go to Galveston almost every weekend all summer in our rv and only stay here when there is no space at the State Park.
