We called late in the morning of our arrival date to let Chris know we would not arrive until 7 PM that evening. We were scolded as he had a baseball game to attend that evening. Two couples made special arrangements with Chris for 2 rooms each with a private bath as a condition of stay. Chris confirmed this via e-mail. When we arrived, they could not provide the private baths only shared baths. They have refused to issue a credit for the contract they did not fulfill. They have been extremely difficult to deal with.

The Garden House provides an inviting atmosphere filled with music, flowers and the aroma of cookies baking! Loved the comfy, feather beds! And the breakfast was absolutely fantastic! Hannibal is a great getaway where we were treated as friends everywhere we went except at the The Kitchen Shop where we were followed around like thieves and treated very rudely.

Great place to stay - a bit noisy the 1st night (friday) but then it was calm. Owners are really nice and they try to do the best they can to make you feel welcome - we really appreciated it.
We hope to move there and see them more often

Our weekend getaway was wonderful and relaxing. We just felt like we were home. Loved the ghost stories and our East Room location, especially the warm feather bed. Would love to come back and will tell all our friends to come to the Garden House. Food was amazing and the conversations even better! We recommend this get away.
