We stayed at the Emporio in March, 06 and have been dying to get back there. The location was perfect, service above and beyond. Javier, our poolside waiter, was the best! The room was very nice (although the comforter was too scratchy). The only thing I would change is the $2 charge per day for a packet of coffee in the room, I think one per day should be complimentary. Would highly recommend this hotel to any Acapulco bound traveler!
