The beach is neat/clean/friendly locals. Shark nets surround swim area, nice sandy bottom and the food at the beach venue is great & inexpensive. On-beach palm-shade.

My husband and I went to Guanica for our 9th Wedding Anniversary. It took us 2.5 hrs to get there. We stayed at the Copa Marina Hotel. Although it was expensive, there were "fonditas" nearby were we could find good inexpensive criolla food. Also nearby and for a few bucks we were able to get a boat to Guilligan's Island or ...

This place advertises that it is a short drive from the airport in San Juan, but actually is a 3 to 4 hour ordeal depending on what time of day you are going. The beaches were not good for bathing or swimming due to the mushy consistancy of the sand. The dry forest was beautiful but not much to do. There is a small town which is very expensive ...
