LOVED THE SETTING-WAY UP ON TOP OF THE HILL. THE FACILITY IS BEAUTIFULLY DONE AND THE EXHIBITS ARE WONDERFUL. THE GROUNDS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL AND WELL MAINTAINED-A TRUE WORK OF ART ITSELF. JUST A GREAT PLACE TO SPEND THE DAY AND GET LOST IN!

This is a great cultural gem in the city of L.A. Art lovers will enjoy their collection of antiquities, european art, sculptures and special exhibits. Architectural buffs will enjoy their unique, contemporary architecture. Even for those who aren't museum goers or art lovers will enjoy the garden and views of the city. There's something ...

Don't Even Go Inside!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/05/07
That title sounds like I didn't like the place. On the contrary, it was the most wonderful experience I have ever had at a museum. I have been there twice, and the first time I was so floored by the incredible natural and architectural beauty of the grounds, and the experience of the monorail, I dawdled too long and the museum closed before I went inside. It was worth it, though - and most certainly worth the second trip to see the art.

A night I'll never forget
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/24/06
I told the man I love my feelings for him at the gardens...one of the most beautiful moments I have ever experienced in my life. Felt like a scene straight from a movie. I really am grateful that I did it at the Getty. Nothing would have been as perfect and achingly beautiful as that one night was to me.

the getty center is the best museum i've ever went,a great atmosphere, wonderful paintings the best!!!!!!!
went to getty center a couple of weeks ago and I'll admit its pretty impressive, large collection of paintings and photos. The part i was disappointed about was the garden. after i read the reviews i was expecting a larger garden, instead it was a small one, not bigger than half a football field with some fountain in the middle. but it's free ain't it, beggars can't be choosers.
Every time I go to the Getty I find myself amazed. It is truly one of Southern California’s jewels. If you have not been, make the time to go. It is a first class place to see art and a fountain of inspiration. The people who staff it are wonderful, and there are few places where you can see art of this stature. My only regret each visit is a lack of time to take advantage of the educational programs the Getty provides
