The hotel is conviently located near the Riverwalk. However, the hotel is a dive. The first room smelled of mold and the air conditioner would not cool the room. The on duty clerk did move us to a bigger room to make up for this inconvience. The second room was cleaner, but the air conditioner did not cool the room, the toilet was backed up and ...
Our room was very small and furniture was old. Wall was water stained from AC unit that was near the ceiling. Looked nothing like the pictures posted on yahoo, except the mirror. Talked to GM, left her know dissatified and there for our anniversary. She pulled up pictures and apologized because the pictures were incorrect. She upgraded us to a ...
This recent acquisition by Holiday Inn Express should have a 4 star rating at a minimum by travel companies who rate them. We chose the hotel for it's close proximity to the Riverwalk, value price, amenities and the positive reviews we read. There is a very small pool and a hot tub connected to it, that was not heated (for whatever reason). ...
My husband and I stayed at the Comfort Inn Alamo/Riverwalk on our honeymoon and it was fantastic. The rooms are nice (pretty standard hotel fare) the continental breakfast in the morning was one of the best I've had. We were on the first floor the first night and asked to be moved to a higher floor for the remainder of our stay; the hotel staff ...

Great Place

The Comfort Inn Riverwalk was a quaint, fablous hotel. The staff was outstanding. Great location. They were just starting some renovations as we were leaving. New carpets and lights. Breakfast was a nice touch. One bad point is how hotels raise the rates on weekends or if there is a conference in town, but I would absolutely stay here again.
The location was within walking distance to the riverwalk and to the merchado....as well as the Alamo area. The hotel was clean, the rooms were clean, the front desk ladies were most pleasant and we would definitely stay here again.
I LIKED IT A LOT GOOD PEOPLE NICE ROOMS EVERY THING WAS GOOD AND MI TIERRA HAD VERY GOOD FOOD
BUT IT REALLY BOTHERED ME THAT THE HOTEL USED TO BE A JAIL I KIND OF SCARED ME OF THT GUY WHO WUS IN THERE!! BUT OVERALL I WOULD GO BACK TO THAT HOTEL GOOD PRICE TOO =]]
The room and and staff were great, but we had to find out at check in that the parking was not apart of the room price. We were told to park on the lot on the side and it would be 16.00 a day, or we could park in the lot in front for 8.00 a day. We have a F150 4 door that was very hard to fit on the side and all the time we were there, i was just waiting for someone to take the rear off our truck. If you have a little car it will fit just great.

Great Location to Riverwalk and the Market
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/17/07
The service overasll was great. Loved that we were in walking distance to the Market, Mi Tierra(great food), and the Riverwalk. I was informed it was a historic place but never imaged it was an old Jailhouse. Pretty cool! Rooms were clean. I have no complaint at all. Best hotel I ever stayed at.
