Loved the Area, Hotel a Disappointment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/20/09
Although the grounds were beautiful and will maintained, and we loved the area, we would not stay at this hotel again.
On check in, we were taken to our room in the "3" building at it appeared great. It is the "lobby" building We had a balcony and a nice view. Unfortunately, the evening entertainment is in that building so ...
You need to be aware this is a "Time-Share" hotel, not just a hotel. That means you WILL have someone trying to get you to come to the meetings to buy-in to a time-share. This happens every morning outside breakfast and when you first walk in. They don't let you go to your room before sitting you down at a desk and making you tell ...
Pros: The hotel was clean and beautifully landscaped. The town of San Jose is quiet, this is not a place to go if you are looking to get wild, which is not what we were looking for so we loved our Honeymoon. We were given a free upgrade to an ocean view for our Honeymoon which was nice. We enjoyed the food, especially the outdoor grill that served ...

Very Nice Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/22/08
This is only our second stay in Los Cabos and we will certainly be back at the Presidente!! Be sure you know what you are paying for in a room - we paid to upgrade to the Deluxe Ocean View room, but were put into a little garden view room without even a window that would open - this February it is cold at night and there is no heat - the only fresh ...
First off, as soon as you walk into the lobby, the time-share people try to get you to sign-up for a time-share. We stated to them that we were starving and wanted to get something to eat, but they would not let up. Finally, we got away from them and went to eat. The food was good, but don't be fooled by the all-inclusive. 90% of the time, ...

Fabulous!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/29/07
I loved the El Presidente. I went there in July/August 2006. The rooms are cozy, we had one on the first floor. The pool was wonderful, and the poolboys were fluent in both English and Spanish, and were very friendly. The in-pool swim-up bars were very convenient and had great drinks for kids, as well, like virgin strawberry daquiris and Coke. The ...
Great staff. A tip goes a long way. We preferred the quiet town to touristy San Lucas. The food was good (all included)but especially good in the restaurants where you made a reservation. Didn't like that you couldn't swim in the ocean. But the pools were fine
We stayed here our very first time to the Cabo area. The vacation was purchased through a Travelzoo special I had received. Since we had never been to Cabo before we were unsure of locations and such. This hotel is actually way down all by itself and not close to anything at all. We took a taxi into downtown Cabo San Lucas and then one other ...
