If you want to visit Tripoli, I personaly advice you to stay in Corenthia Hotel, it is considered as the best Hotel in the capital and there is no comparison with the poor-state managed hotels like Al-Mahari. the service is good in general and the hotel has an exelent SPA and swimming pool. the disadvantage is related to the high prices of the rooms.

i would recommend this hotel to every one who visits our country Libya because it is the only choise we have here ....
the hotel is very expensive comparing to London and Paris hotels , thier services are ok sometimes are very poor , we had two weddings thier and they were perfect , restaurants are good , and in Generla it is a good place to have ...

Have stayed in Tripoli 3 times now and this hotel is by far (very far) the best in Tripoli.

That said, its really a 4 star hotel in many ways. The price is far too high, but they are totally full almost every night, and they have absolutely NO competition, so why change the rates.

Well maybe this wasn't the best hotel I've ever stayed in, and it was pricey, but it made an extremely comfortable base for a short visit to the amazing sites at Leptis Magna and Sabratha.

Corinthia is the most beautiful and high class hotel I have ever been to in my life, and I live in America. From it's gorgeous structure on the outside, to the exquisite choice of italian marble and decor on the inside. It might be a little pricey but it is definately worth a stay for that feeling of royalty you get when you step into the door.

The Hotel still not that good , or let's say it became worse , but still the only choice here , the Peaple there are really bad and have no respect for the costumers , especially in the Tripoli Cafe , they are really rude and not helpfull , and the qaulity of food is bad also , services in the hotel in general is BAD BAD BAD ..
Imagine this Maltese hotel is the best we have here in Tripoli ....

Pros:

Only hotel that accepted online reservations and credit card paiements.

Looked clean, except for the fruit in the breakfast buffet that did not look too fresh.

Cons:

In US or UAE standards, this is a 3-star hotel.

Very expensive. Definitely not worth the $220-$320 they charge per night.

It's the best hotel I see in my country (Libya) , It's five stars hotel , it have very nice pool swimming , excellent rooms , nice location in the summer I think perfect location for this hotel , speed service , I liked this hotel very much
