My husband did not like that the hotel was so dark and kind of gothic decor..it didnt neccesarily come across that way to me. The waterfalls and candles in the lobby were a nice touch, but I dont think this hotel comes close to being worth the price that they charge for one night's stay. We stayed one night this past Saturday. Suprisingly the ...

A good choice

We have not checked out any other hotels available in the area, but this is a very upscale hotel. The decor was nice, bed linens superb. The room was laid out strangely, though, with a huge entry hall which seemed a waste of space to us. Great location of course for the Riverwalk and its attractions. We walked to meals on the river and rode the ...

By Larry E, 08/09/06
I think the hotel is a little overated and you have to watch your bill close or they will over charge you. There is no parking for this Hotel the hotel will park your car @$26.00 each time. and the rooms are a little small. And no pool.

The Best place to stay in San Antonio
By studiotw88, 07/06/06
I love the Hotel period. The hotel treats you like VIP at all times. i have stayed there over ten times and its gets better with each visit. The rooms are very "plush" or "cosmo." If you are on a romantic getaway, this is the place for you. Please get a room facing the courtyard with the balcony. It is very quiet and private. ...

All i can say is that i was handed a weekend full of wonderful surprises and memories.. from the chocolate covered strawberries and champagne that was waiting for my return back to the room, to the hour long aromatherapy massage the next morning after drinking the champagne. giggles... can't remember which was my favorite, i fell asleep ...

Try another hotel
By WarrenP, 05/09/06
It takes more than fancy toilletries and expensive furnishings to make a hotel luxurious. It also takes service and amenities, both of which this hotel was sorely lacking. In fact, the only service they did well was lip service. The housekeeping was non-existant, with the trash cans not being emptied or the room being vacuumed for days. The ...

A perfect location for an imperfect hotel. We had no soap or washclothes, no glasses or dryer but what we did have was a lack of housekeeping and a lack of follow thru from hotel staff. No vacuming for two days and the trashcans, with dirty diapers, were not emptied for 3 days. The rooms are dark as they are all painted with black shutters, ...

Very bad
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/04/06
all of the staff were so rude and room service was the worst we have ever had, the room was dirty and when we complain we were told well you could stay some place else, but we would still have to pay for that day.
The staff called out bad words to a lot of people even when small children were near
I am tell all i meet and on the inter net not to saty in such a awful place

GREAT HOTEL AND LOCATION
By JORGE T, 02/27/06
THE HOTEL WAS TOTALLY RENOVATED, IT HAD A TOTALLY MODERN FEEL TO IT. THE BAR AND LOUNGE AREA ARE PERFECT TO HANG OUT AS WELL AS THE BEAUTIFUL FIRE WATER COURTYARD. THE RESTUARANT "ACENAR" RIGHT NEXT TO IT HAS EXCELLENT FOOD AND MENU. THE HOTEL IS RIGHT ABOVE THE RIVER WALK. YOU HAVE TO WALK DOWN THROUGH THE RESTUARNAT DOWN TO THE ...
