I've been to many, many spas -- both in North America and throughout Europe -- and our experience at the Sol Duc is probably the very best value of all. At only $11 for the entire day ($8 for seniors 62+), we were amazed. Clean. Lovely. Large swimming pool. And, three spa pools. Not at all crowded.
Note: we did not stay at the resort.

Great for families!

We make the trip to Sol Duc Hot Springs about twice a year for the last nine years. It is not a posh resort so you will be disappointed if that is what are expecting. The pools look dirty since it is a natural spring, piped in from the NATURE. Not filtered. The water constantly flowing in and out. Compared to hiking out to the actual hot ...

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/12/07
ive gone here a billion times in my life butt when i went there last week it was horrible... the hot pools were nasty and on the fourth someone pooped in the pool.. the big one and closed it 4 24 houers
If you like Motel 6 quality, you will like it. Overpriced, can not qualify to call a "Resort". We were highly disappointed.

Avoid

We stayed here one night. The accomadations are essentialy a motel room in a parking lot. The prices are 4 times that amount.
Service is poor- almost incapable.
Pools are overcrowded and loud- nothing more than a warm public pool. I take that back, a public pool usually has adults only hours.
Go for a hike and skip this rip off.

Not a Great Hot Spring Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/25/06
Note - we didn't stay at the "resort," just visited the hot springs. However, we were highly disappointed. We knew from the outset that the hot springs were not "natural," and they looked a bit crowded. However, we at least expected them to be clean, which they were not. The medium pool, which we sat in the longest, was full ...

A favorite soak
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/16/06
The beauty of the area, accessible trails, spacious campground and handy cabins make this a good overnight getaway. The large pools, though lacking in ambience are clean and also lack the bacteria that made me ill when I visited another 'natural' spring site nearby. I'm happy to have a little less natural experience if it means I get ...

way over priced
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/23/06
We stayed in Sol Duc "camp" three nights from 7/13-16/06, and we've decided that using the word "resort" is grossly overstating what a guest receives for the money. We paid $150 (us) for a heated cabin with a bathroom, but some of the electrical outlets didn't work, the bathroom had not been cleaned when we checked ...

my kids had a great time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/24/05
It was great. The pools were so relaxing and my massage was wonderful. The kids played while I was pampered!
