This Motel is nothing like the WEB page reads. The spa looks like it has not worked in years, the pool was not all that nice (the area around the pool was very dirty). The bedspread was so dirty we had to put it on the floor ( smelt bad and had nasty spots on it). There were dead bugs in the plastic cover on the lampshade ( inc. a dead moth about ...

We will NEVER go back there!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/09
Room was musty, sheets were full of "pilling" i.e. lumps, mattresses old and lumpy, pillows small and lumpy. The beds had just the sheets and an old faded bedspread...no blankets whatsoever. The carpet was filthy and stained. They advertise a $50 room but during the "season" this room went for $80 + tax. If we hadn't paid ...

the best motel around
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/02/08
It was the best choice for me and my family. The staff was friendly and the location was great. It was right in the middle of packwood, evry store and restaurant was in walking distance. It was not too far from the mountains either. In addition there was a heated pool and spa that relieved the stress from the drive from seattle.

Hotel description is misleading
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/18/08
The description of the hotel is misleading. First, the spa has been broken for over a year, which they did not mention when making a reservation or checking in. The "breakfast" consited of a pastry in a bag you can buy at the gas station for $0.50. The front desk also charged us $15 more then what they sadi the price would be when I called and made the reservation. The people at the front desk were also unfriendly.

Bare-bones but decent
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/30/06
I spent five nights here.
There are different rooms available, so you might want to check their web site.
My room was small and spartan. If your primary interest is in enjoying the great parks nearby, as was mine, this place is okay.
Motels closer to Mt. Rainier can be expensive, so this place, which is not too far from either Rainier or ...

it was a home away from home.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/14/05
we were travelling east on hwy 12 when our car broke down right in the middle of the hwy. The manager at the inn was very polite and offer to give us the hand.
After settling our family in their office area, we changed the tire and the manager offered us a fresh pot of coffee. It was around 10.30 P.M and we were exhausted. Manager agreed to ...
