make sure you actually have a reservation !!!I made reservations 3 weeks in advance for a saturday night. I had read other reviews regarding lost reservations, so I decided to call and confirm 3 days before my arrival date...and sure enough they no longer had a reservation for me. Quaint & Cozy great ValueLOVE THIS PLACE!!!! I have stayed at Prater's several times and have always found quality and convience and great customer service. Each time I stay there it gets better because they are always making great improvements!!! It's a quaint little motel in a prime location on the main road of town. We can't wait to go backI have been staying at Prater's Motel for about 3 years, I truly enjoy very much all the wonderful service and help the owner of Prater's has given me and my family.
She has always been very happy to help me/us when calling for reservations and always is happen on the phone and when we arrive.

Summer Fun!I am a college student from Arizona and have been coming to Hood River for the past three summers to wind surf. Each time I have stayed at Praters because they have great deals and awesome views! I was looking up the number to book my room and noticed that people say that the're having issues with their reservation, But I'm just putting it out there that I havent had a problem in the three years ive been going and the lady is cool.1 of 1 Yahoo! We'll be back!My husband and I stayed at Prater's with our three children while visiting my mother this December. I had made reservations three weeks prior because I knew it would be busy during Christmas. The room was a little small for the 5 of us but once the lady at the desk learned I had three "energetic" children with me she upgraded us to a larger room with no trouble. What A View!I recently stayed at this motel while I was visiting family in Hood River for the Thanksgiving Holiday and was quite pleased. The room was very clean & cozy and the view of the river was amazing! Not familiar with the area I had to ask someone from the staff for directions and they were more than helpful. This motel is definitely my first choice next time I am in the area!

For sure coming back!Very nice! I was very pleased with the service of that gentlemen working at Prater's Motel. It was nice to be welcome into a peaceful place and friendly customer services after being on the road for a couple of days. I was surprised with the spectacular view of Mt. Most Unprofessional Service EverI was one of the guests who was supposed to stay here for the wedding mentioned in a previous review. We were given accommodations at this motel after the first 2 reservations were lost, but I was called 24 hours before my flight was supposed to leave notifying me that my arrangements had been modified. Stranded!We made a reservation at Prater's 2 months ago and when we got there they had canceled our reservation leaving us totally stranded. They did the same to our friends and to another couple that had arrived at the same time as us. The front desk was locked and we had to call the emergency number on the door for service.
