With kids sometimes it can be an interesting experience to stay at a hotel. We felt very welcome and at home here. The room was very clean. Service was very nice and personable. The price was perfect for us. Our kids loved the swing benches, the nice grass and the beautiful landscaping. We will definately be back!!!

The Pines is a charming, traditional motel with all sorts of thoughtful touches, all at a reasonable price. The setting is a quiet three blocks from downtown Newcastle, which itself works as a very nice home base for exploration of the west side of the Black Hills, including Jewel Cave National Monument and Devils Tower National Monument.
