With kids sometimes it can be an interesting experience to stay at a hotel. We felt very welcome and at home here. The room was very clean. Service was very nice and personable. The price was perfect for us. Our kids loved the swing benches, the nice grass and the beautiful landscaping. We will definately be back!!!

The Pines is a beautiful motel in an excellent location, within easy access of the Black Hills. The rooms were incredibly well kept, very clean, comfortable, and quiet. Service was excellent. In addition, the motel itself is in a beautiful and secluded location with numerous birds and wildlife present. The grounds were very well kept and that was ...

The facility was very clean, and well organized. We had no "surprises" when we checked into our room as has been in other instances---it was exactly as ...

The Pines is a charming, traditional motel with all sorts of thoughtful touches, all at a reasonable price. The setting is a quiet three blocks from downtown Newcastle, which itself works as a very nice home base for exploration of the west side of the Black Hills, including Jewel Cave National Monument and Devils Tower National Monument. Highly recommended.
