We stayed only one night on our way to Mount Rushmore. It was clean, but a little worn. The toilet ran unless you jiggled the handle and the faucet was difficult to turn off. The breakfast was skimpy, stale and a full stick of butter was left to sit out on it's wrapper for all guests to share. The juice tasted terrible. It was nice to have ...
The location of this hotel is great. Unlike many of the hotels in Custer, this hotel stays open all year around which was nice when we visited in October. That was convenient since we didn't make plans in advance where we would stay. I asked for a different room since I am a light sleeper, and a different one was offered no questions asked. ...

This hotel was easy to find in Custer. The hotel office staff was unorganized and not very helpful. The language barrier was hard to overcome just to get checked in. I was then double billed for the room and am still working on getting that taken care of it has been over a week and still no results for taking care of the problem. The room was ...

The atmosphere is great and the location is excellent. Centrally located to all the fun of the Black Hills. The Dakota Cowboy restaraunt is a fun place too.

Don't Pass Up This Motel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/12/06
This is one of the most affordable motels I have ever stayed inn. The price was easy on my pocket book and all it did was impress me. This truly is a five star hotel for the price of a one star. I was able to cool off in the spacious pool, enjoy a hearty breakfast, and relax in a modern room that included a superb bed that felt like a Tempur-Pedic. ...
As someone whom has spent a great deal of time in Custer, I can say that it doesn't get any better than this. The hotel is in the best location in Custer and the restaurant is F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C. Nice staff and great ambiance will bring me back summer after summer.

Very enjoyable stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/18/06
The staff was nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and neat with alot of room to move around. The pool was small but the kids enjoyed the slide. The kids also enjoyed the playarea. Very affordable. The location is just west of the downtown which kept you away from all the traffic. If ever in Custer again, we would definitely stay here.

The service was great and it was just down the street from the Flinstones and has a restaurant right there. I stay here every time I visit South Dakota because it is a nice place to stay.

The location of this motel is excellent: center of the Black Hills, very good restaurant, quiet. The service is excellent: the management is very friendly and willing to help with suggestions and directions for day trips, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are immacculate. We will return!
