We got married this July on Seneca Lake and held our reception at Coal Point at the Anchor Inn. The on site coordinator did a great job making sure everything went smoothly. She met with us and talked on the phone as often as we needed to be sure that she knew what we wanted for our day. She was always willing to make phone calls and research ...

DON'T DO IT!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/01/09
What a beautiful location - even on a rainy day! DON'T let the location fool you! The manager is sly, says one thing and does another, and is not around when you need him! He charged $315.00 per keg and wine per glass/bottle as if you were buying beverages at the Tikki Bar! He let his bartenders place a "tips" container out during the ...
First of all the price you pay for the place is way overpriced, you get no help from the owner for the money and he will throw hidden fees at you left and right. stay away from this place like the plague. The view is nice but not worth the pounding headache. Alcohol very over priced could have bought my own bottle of wine for $6 he charged $24

Most beautiful place for wedding!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/23/08
I was the first wedding at Coal Point located at the Anchor Inn in August 2007. I have known the owner and management for a long time. They were all exceptional in the management and organization of the entire event. This was not a small event. We rented the entire motel and cabins as well as had 200 people attend our wedding/reception. It was ...

Pretty place with view
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/06/07
We were shocked to see the motel under construction from the road but pleasantly surprised that it didn't affect the room or view. Clean, comfortable for the inexpensive price. Nice view from the large porch overlooking lake. (Road is between you and lake) The Tiki Bar closed -off season -but it looked very nice. Absolutely NO nightlife!
I did not stay at the Inn, I was a participant in one of the first events held at their new outdoor event venue. A lovely location with great potential, even without available parking ......... however poor management and greed will likely destroy this location before it has a chance. I will never return there and definitely discourage anyone from ever attempting an event there. Please be cautious when dealing with these people.

Awsome experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/21/06
Motel is clean and cozy. Owner is very knowledgeable about the area. Will visit again and again. Have been going there for years and with the addition of the lake front facilities it is an outstanding place to visit.
We stayed at The Anchor Inn during the off season about a year ago. We loved the view from the porch, and our toddler LOVED that the train passed right below the hotel. The view of Seneca Lake was beautiful. This hotel was clean and pleasant and a great value. We highly recommend it!
