In the last 16 years I have ridden well over 1,000 miles on horses owned by Mountain Trail Horse Center (aka Nature Quest), which now owns Coach Stop Inn. Not once in all those years have I observed any horse being mistreated, neglected or abused in any way. These horses are powerful athletes who tirelessly pound their way up steep slopes ...

Awesome spot
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/11/09
Loved the scenery. Great being outside of town in the peace and quiet. I was able to take a walk around the Coach Stop property, lots of wildflowers, animals and birds. I loved watching the horse out back. It looked so peaceful having a huge field to graze in and it's own personal pond in the back. Great food, great housekeeping, great views. Must come again
Spent 2 nights at the couch stop while our 2 daughters took an overnight horse excursion with Nature Quest. The service/food at the hotel was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable while we dined in their quaint dining room.My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Couch Stop Inn while our 2 daughters took an overnight horse excursion ...

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/25/09
WE HAVE STAYED AT THE COACH STOP MANY TIMES IN THE PAST BEFORE THE NEW MANAGEMENT TOOK OVER. WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH EVERYTHING- ESPECIALLY THE HOUSEKEEPING STAFF. ONLY CONCERN ARE THE HORSES OUT BACK- THEY HAD NO WATER AND ONLY A MUD PUDDLE TO DRINK FROM( I WALKED BACK THERE TO CHECK!) AT NO TIME DID ANYONE, BUT ME, CHECK ON THE HORSES. ...

Just OK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/08/08
Just stayed there last weekend and found it clean and comfortable. The food was good too. On the downside, the walls are so thin we could hear the people in the next room talking, snoring, and other noises from the bathroom. For that reason I would not go back. Also, once the lounge closes there is no one except tenants on the property.

AMAZING FOOD!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/23/08
This place is now under new management and has a new chef. The food was quite simply amazing. The new menu is a huge improvement. I strongly recommend the crab cakes or the lamb - both were superb.

Home Away From Home
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/13/08
Quiet, clean, good food, extremely friendly staff. We stay twice a year, spring and fall. Look forward to going each time. Best Tom Collins anywhere.
We came here to eat about three years ago in February. The salad bar was okay...but our main meal was nothing to write home about. Maybe , now things are better. Don't know. Nice looking building from the outside. We have eaten at The Log Cabin ( about a mile away ) many times...and the food there is always very good.

We've gone back twice and can't wait to go again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/23/06
The place is nice, and a quiet location. You are on a major road, but in the country just enough to see wildlife out your door.
The food is good PA cooking and a great selection served by courteous friendly people. They have a video library to borrow from, with family oriented movies.
A very clean and great place to spend you eating and sleeping vacation.
