Place is now under new management/ownership. They are working very hard to update everything. It looks like it has been a slow process but they are doing great. The remodeled rooms are awesome.
Each room has a microwave and small fridg. The people are very nice. The prices are more than decent. Great location for in or out of town activities.

This motel is now being managed by the owners, who are wonderful people. The manager referred to in the 06/22/09 review has been terminated and new staff is in place. Rooms are being remodeled, some are done, some yet to be done. New laundry service is in place so the new linens ARE washed between each guest stay and as often as guests request. ...

The place in under new managers. The owners are great people that care about their customers. They are working on remodeling the entire place, what is done is great. Their rates are cheap compared to most places.
I would reccommend the place to everyone.

The front desk person was very rude, front door was locked and it took 20 mins for him to come to the door. Came out with a cigarette in his mouth and did not put it out the whole time I was there. Looked at a room but did not stay due to the attitude of the man at the front desk.

We stayed 2 nights and I couldn't wait to leave. The first night we checked in and then didn't come back until the office was closed. Our sheets were stained! The bedspread had blood stains on it! Pros: Very close to the Civil War event we were attending; Close to good restuarants. Fairly inexpensive place with air/tv some noticable interior improvements
Cons: Upper walkway dangerous, floor weathered plywood,balcony railing xtremely loose. No maid service or clean towels or trash dumped. Missed 1st day wake-up didn't use service afterwards. Appears oriented to weekly/monthly residents.
