Perfect weekend getaway from DenverIt is the most unique place I have ever been. My family likes it so much that we go there practically every weekend from the end of May to the end of September. The lodge was built in 1900 and is furnished with antique furniture and indian artifacts. The gift shop is also one of the best I have ever seen. Awesome family weekend getaway!My family goes here every summer. The kids love how the bluejays swoop down from the trees and grab the peanuts off the porch just inches away from them. The squirrels are also pretty well adapted to humans. The gift shop is not what you would expect - it's quaint, hand selected antiques and objects that the owner has collected herself, not a bunch of commercial junk.
