Drove by this place for 10 years finally decided to stop. Got 'Bison burrito'. Not cooked anything like your typical beef dish with elements like salt, onion, or chile. Instead tasted like they added cherry cough syrup. Ridiculous. One of the most utterly disgusting items I've had in my life. Wait staff was rude about my mild suggestion that they not not try to reinvent the wheel in terms of cooking with beef-like items.
I always make a point to stop here when in Jemez even if it's just to have a cup of their wonderful coffee and stare at the amazingly beautiful view of the mountain across the street. A great place to have a laid back and healthy bite. Don't go if you're in a hurry, this is a place to relax and take in the view. The inn is a great respite too, beautifully decorated and a comfortable night's sleep. Highly recommended.
The food is pretty good, but unfortunately the staff does not care whether you are satisfied with their service or not.
