What a great find!We were looking for a motel with a good view, so when we saw the Abbey Inn sitting right on the side of the mountain, we decided to give it a try. What a fantastic view! It's about a mile from the town proper of Maggie Valley and at least 1000' above all the rest. There is nothing to obstruct your view of the mountains there, that's ...1 of 1 Yahoo! Old Fashion - No FussIf you're the type of traveler that doesn't need a fancy hotel room - just a clean place to lay your head at night then this is a great motel for you. 2 Thumbs Up!We were there during October, what an awesome experience. An old fashioned motel up on the mountainside, above the rest of the lodgings. The views are outstanding, the rooms clean, the beds comfortable, the owners friendly and helpful, the colors unbelievable. Definitely on our list of a place to visit again.2 of 2 Yahoo! Great little motel, with a fantastic mountain viewWe have been going to the Abbey Inn at least twice a year for several years now. Their views are awesome, the rooms are exceptionally clean, and have all the modern conveniences you would want including in-room coffee and free wiresless internet connection.
