The beach, pool and grounds were well kept. However, our room #409 had a bad musty/wet smell. I'd go again, but not that particular room.

If you have any kind of disability, don't stay here! There is only 1 elevator and it may work or it may not work. If you happen to catch it in service, you might as well pack a lunch because it will take well over 9, YES NINE, minutes for the elevator to reach you from the time you press the call button.

I took my 2 Kids to the El Governor Motel and stayed for 4 days. The staff was the kindess and most helpful staff I've ever seen at any motel. My Kids had a great time and so did I. I recommend this motel to anyone with kids, who want to stay at a nice quiet family oriented place. This place is perfect.

This place is located right on the beach! Some of my family came down one weekend and stayed here, they have smoking and non-smoking rooms, kitchen units available, and balconies to view from. i would recommend this place to anyone.

I love this place. It`s kid friendly, a family fun spot, and great for just you. I love on the weekends when they have karaoke. John is a great DJ there. The rooms rock, and so does the beach and the pool. You should so go there.

When we arrived at the hotel, the staff specifically a younger lady, was very rude to us offering not much information at all. We arrived at 12:00 and was told that we could not check in until 3:00 p.m., however people were checking in at 1:00 and 2:00 and somebody checked in right at 2:30 while we were sitting in the parking lot to check in. We're Okies and we enjoy the beach. All beachfront hotels are a little rough because of all the sand tracked in and the elements attacking the property. This hotel is as good as they come and the price is right. We enjoy the private beach out front and the closeness of the ocean. The balcony rooms offer a great view and are comfortable. Nice pool and bar. The elevators are mercilessly slow.
