You must stop in to visit a real castle. You do a lot of walking and go up stairs and if you want to take pictures you need to turn the flash off. Love the place. Castle was nice. Soooo many things to look at and the tour guides knew there stuff. Have to check out the pool areas, the video to the Castle and make sure to bring a camera.

Hearst Castle is a landmark and must be seen...but for the price I would have wanted to see more of the castle. The tour guides are alright and give you a good sense of the place.

A must is seeing the National Geographic movie about the building of the castle which we found very interesting.

I think the collection on art work and archetecture is fantastic. I loved it and can't wait to go again on my next trip. The tour is split up into different parts of the property. If it's your first time I suggest the ground floor tour.

This is a great place to visit. I had heard about it from family and when me an dmy husband finally went it was wonderful. The drive down there is great and romantic. The castle is wonderful. The only bad thing is you can't take pictures. This was such a great trip we're going back this year with friends.

We visited Hearst Castle while vacationing in Central California and found it to be a great day outing. The history of the mansion and William Randolph Hearst is fascinating. The General tour was thorough and the tour guide was knowledgeable.

The IMAX-like movie also gives great insight into Hearst's life.
