A step back in timeThis is an amazing town that is definitely worth a stop if you're heading from Xian to Beijing. The entire Ming city is now preserved as a UNESCO heritage site. A single ticket (I think it was 200RMB) gets you into all 40 attractions which include museums, temples, and homes.

Classical China At the most confidentPing Yao has the kind of old world charm and confidence with the outstanding architecture that is never overdone and flashy, but oozing with quiet wisdom and pure charm.
