i would stay here again

the hotel was great. the room was great. the food was ok. the pool was great. the service was great. i would stay here again.

We were treated well, greated professionally, and the room was emaculate. Beds were perfect. Much nicer stay than the Hyatt on the Plaza.

Upon arrival, we were not greeted in a friendly manner- the woman was (in a sense) quite rude. There was some type of music contest going on and there were musicians on just about every floor with doors banging. We requested a new room and then next door people were exremely loud at 1:30 in the morning. After complaining upon check-out- oh well, sorry. Will NOT go back again.

Bed and pillows are so soft an comfy. Didn't try the restaurant but looked at the menu...very pricey!!! As always, the cookies were good. Staff was very friendly. Elevators are extremely fast which is good when you have to go up 18 floors, although you may get a little dizzy:)

We live in the Kansas City Mo. area and were host to our family reunion for the first time.We were getting pretty frustrated because we could not find an acceptable hotel that could accomodate 300+ people. This place must have been something in the 80's! I attended a conference at the location. The meeting rooms were very warm and uncomfortable. My hotel room was fine and very quiet.

For the money, I'll probably try someplace else next time.

Great inndoor pool/ Good rooms

I stay in hotels all the time for business. We were having a usual HOT KC. summer, and a storm caused a power outtage in my subdivision. I have two beautiful Boxers and no one could handle that heat.
I called a few places and they would not take dogs, especially big dogs. I called the Doubletree not expecting a yes, but they let us come. My Dogs ...

For how much people talk up the Doubletree, it's not really that great. They have AWESOME food . . . and treat you like you're all hoity toity and rich, BUT their rooms are cruddy and worn down. You basically pay for the lobby and dining facilities. Rooms have ripped/faded wallpaper, stale smelling, and just ICK - I recommend the food, NOT the overnight thing. Find a motel and you'll be a lot happier and a lot less broke.
