All in all, the Marriott Timber Lodge resort is at the bottom of my list of all Marriott resorts where I have stayed in Spain, Virginia, Florida, and South Carolina: the rooms are small and were only superficially clean (hadn't been dusted or vacuumed well, icebox wasn't clean), places where the woodwork and paint was damaged in the rooms ...

This was our first time here and we have decided it was one of our best vacations. We stayed in one of the studios. It was very clean and quiet. The staff was very courteous and friendly. The location was so convenient. We loved everything about this resort. A balcony would have been nice, but not necessary for us to have a perfect stay. Would highly recommend it and we will definitely be back again and again.

This was a very nice place and close to everything. You have restaurants, shopping, the lake, skiing, & casinos. Great location and a clean place to stay. We enjoyed it very much!

October is down season as far as crowds go but a wonderful time of year in Tahoe. The Timber Lodge staff couldn't have been more courteous & helpful. This was our third and worst trip the Timber Lodge. The second room we were put in had never been cleaned, and it was vile. The General Manager is a real jerk.

Most the rooms don't have a balcony,and the windows only open 3 inches. Very claustrophobic.
