We booked this hotel only because of its historic site. It is an amazing old building, has lots of charm, but it seen better times. It desperately needs some renovations, especially the bathrooms, but even simple dusting and cleaning would help. No soap, or shampoo, or even toilet paper! The bedding and towels were clean, can't say the same ...

The reception staff are only interested in selling overpriced extended tours of Egypt and Cairo excursions.

The breakfast is the very worst I have ever experienced in the whole of Egypt but at 20 USD per night can I really complain.
