Great place to stay, we go every winter. If you like to be away from the bright lights and crowds of south lake tahoe this is the perfect place. Peaceful and beautiful. Enjoy the free waffle breakfast at the lodge and wonderful home baked treats daily.

The people working at Rustic Cottages were fantastic, nice people. Reminds me of the places where we would stay when I was just a kid. Quaint, kinda Spartan, but comfortable. Clean.

We stayed at the Tahoe Vista portion of Rustic Cabins in the Rubicon cabin. The small cabin is not plush but it had everything we needed. The wrought iron bed from Benecia Foundry was beautiful and utterly comfortable. There was sufficient storage in the bedroom and the bathroom was enormous. This place was awesome. They take pets, and yeah it's a $15 a night per pet, but that's cheaper than putting it in a kennel, and then I can't spend time with my dear Katie dog! They put out brownies, ice tea, raspberry lemonade, and cookies. I'm not sure how they could make this place better. Their other property down the street is awesome too, and an even better value!

Rustic Cottages is Grrreat! The cabins are cozy and adorable. The service is incredible (they make fresh brownies everyday after the lifts close). And the value is unbeatable. If you're going to Tahoe for a fun getaway, this is the place. We love it and go every year.
