There were things that I like such as the quality of people, friendliness, the way they speak (it is a spanish smilar to the one in Spain e.i. vos quereis...Como estais? Vos andais...., etc), the historical sites and some parts of town are nice and modern looking. They have fair enough highways...(main ones)

I been around all Venezuela many times, and by far Maracaibo is the best and the women are amazing. The night life is better than USA and Europe by far. People are always relax and want to have a good time. Drinks are so cheap yoou can get 32 beers for about 7 dollars.

I travel to all of South America regularly and rate this against such places as Brasil, Peru, Colombia, Chile and Argentina. Compared to other places of South America Maracaibo is a 6 or 7 out of 10 at best. Maracaibo has a few interesting places. The large church downtown is beautiful with the Plaza. With limited time, it appeared the emphasis was on the Malls. There is some money in Maracaibo but most people there warned against going out as Americans. There is a large central park along the lake shore with a small zoo. The landscape is very flat.

The experience one has depends on the reason one goes. I went with a team that included a medical clinic, carnival for the children, food distribution and evening program with puppets, music, dancing and drama. maracaibo is so cool i travel there from moscu rusia
and the people ther is so cool, the places fun and the nightlife is very very "caliente"

I LIVE IN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA AND I TRAVELED TO MARACAIBO 4 TIMES THIS YEAR ALREADY AND I CAN`T WAIT FOR THE NEXT TRIP

I just went there on April and I had the best time ever, a lot of restaurants, clubs, pubs and good shopping. The food was delicious, and the night life was fun, the people there party hard. Also, the people are very friendly and there were a lot of security on the streets and everywhere went. The weather is tough to deal with but the trip it was worth it. I'm preparing my trip back to Maracaibo this year again.
