    Yes, Windsor Castle is nice and all but the best thing that I liked about Windsor was the shopping!!! Each and every shop had wonderful cashmere, interesting jewelry, great shoes----everything that you DON'T expect to see in England. The prices were good and the offerings were trendy yet well made.   • "It is a lovely town"

    If you would like to spend the day outside of London, then Windsor would be a good idea. It is very easy to get to from London. I choose to travel there by train. From Paddington to Slough change and then to Windsor. It is a short trip about 30 mins. On your way into Windsor is a great view of the castle. Windsor has two train stations.. this one ...

    One of our more memorable vacation visits was to a safari park in Windsor just oustside of London. Most people have an image of royalty and propriety when it comes to Windsor yet not far from the castle a safari secret lurks.

    i have been there for english on summer in 1998. i lived in windsor and stay around stuartway(or something like that)

    I think there's not a particular place ti visit in windsor... maybe because I had only one day to spend there, but the best thing to do is a walk through the town... anyhow, the most beautiful areas are the bridge that connects windsor with eton forward, the big park near the castle (not IN the castle property...) and the shopping street with a ...

  • Windsor cheap

    Independent travel: Take a Greenline bus for about $10 return and spend the day. Tour companies charge a small fortune and only spend 1/2 days there.

    Beautiful town with interesting shops/eateries and of course the Castle Tour is wonderful. A short distance from Windsor is Legoland for the kiddies. A very enjoyable and affordable day trip out of London.
